I’ve been suffering from a frozen shoulder for several months and didn’t go to any treatment because I was afraid it would be painful. I was advised to go to a physical therapist and I did, once, and didn’t come back because the rehabilitation treatment was just too painful for me. My frozen shoulder was already getting so annoying as I can’t perform well at work because of my limited range of motion. For this reason, a friend of mine recommended that I go and visit his Castro Valley chiropractor and so I did. I came to his clinic and I was a bit nervous because the thought of getting my shoulder twisted with all those popping sounds makes me want to wet my pants but I pulled myself together as I waited for the chiropractor.
30 minutes later, the chiropractor arrived and I was able to talk to him regarding my condition. I talked to him about my job and how long I had been feeling the pain in my shoulder. He asked me several questions too, I thought he was just interviewing me but he was already working on making the right diagnosis for my problem. This Castro Valley chiropractor is really friendly and he talked to me about the treatments he had in mind to help me with my condition. It isn’t a one-time treatment as I need to keep coming back for proper rehabilitation until I get my shoulder’s full range of motion back.
He also told me that frozen shoulder follows 3 stages. The first stage is the pain onset and this is when you will notice that the range of motion is gradually reduced. He told me that I am still in this stage as it could last up to 9 months. The next stage would be the stage when the pain is gradually decreasing but the stiffness I would feel with my shoulder remains. He said this can last up to 9 months too. The third stage is when it starts to regain its range of motion with no more pain and this could last up to 26 months before my frozen shoulder would get better. Castro Valley chiropractor told me that without treatment I have to wait this long before I could get better but with his help, this time is greatly reduced so I could get back in shape faster and I can get back to work with no more pain.
This brilliant man told me that there are other treatment options available. He told me about each one so I could choose depending on my preference. There is also a treatment option that would require surgery but he said this is the least that he would recommend. Because he explained to me everything, I chose chiropractic care. Castro Valley chiropractor then treatment me for several weeks and right now I feel great! I am now on stage 3!
